Preventive
Care.

The foundation of a healthy smile.

Preventive general dentistry is the cornerstone of what we do at Ultimate Smile Dentistry. Regular visits to our Danforth dentistry clinic allow us to detect issues early, keep your teeth and gums in excellent condition, and maintain a clear, long-term picture of your oral health.

For most patients, we recommend a professional exam and cleaning by one of our Registered Dental Hygienists, every six months. Staying consistent with preventive care is by far the most effective — and most affordable — way to protect your long-term dental health.

Dental Exams & Cleanings

A comprehensive dental exam at Ultimate Smile Dentistry goes well beyond a quick look around. During each visit, Dr. Jelena Bogdanovich carries out a thorough clinical assessment of your teeth, gums, joints and surrounding oral tissues — checking for signs of decay, gum disease, oral pathology and anything else that warrants attention.

Digital X-rays are taken when clinically indicated, with up to 90% less radiation than traditional film. Your professional cleaning removes plaque and tartar build-up that brushing and flossing alone can't address — one of the most effective preventive tools available. We also provide personalized home care guidance tailored to your specific needs, so every visit has a lasting impact between appointments.

Therapeutic Botox

Dr. Jelena Bogdanovich is certified in the therapeutic use of Botox within a dental context — a clinically recognized area of modern dentistry proven to relieve secondary headaches and muscle tension well beyond cosmetic applications.

Therapeutic Botox works by relaxing overactive muscles, making it highly effective for conditions with a muscular root cause. Small, precise injections take effect over 3–7 days, with results typically lasting 3–6 months. Many patients report significant relief from symptoms that had previously resisted other treatments.

Bruxism — habitual teeth grinding and jaw clenching

TMJ disorder and chronic jaw pain

Secondary headaches due to jaw muscle overactivity

High lip line (gummy smile) correction

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Dental anxiety is far more common than most people admit, and at Ultimate Smile Dentistry, we take it seriously. Dr. Jelena and associates are certified in nitrous oxide sedation, offering a safe, clinically proven way to feel calm during your appointment without full sedation or IV medication.

Inhaled through a small, comfortable mask, nitrous oxide takes effect within minutes — producing a calm, relaxed feeling while keeping you fully conscious and communicative. The effects clear quickly after the mask is removed; most patients can drive themselves home.

  • Patients who experience dental anxiety or phobia

  • Those with a strong or sensitive gag reflex

  • Longer or more complex appointments

  • Anyone who wants a more comfortable experience without full sedation
